Dealer Representative

Description of Duties: This work is done in the office and on the road.

Possess thorough knowledge of services/products offered by Domestic.

Maintain Dealer relations by providing exquisite service in a professional, courteous and friendly manner.

Solicitation of retail financing from car dealerships in NE area. Establish leads via car buying engines (i.e. print, internet). Cold calling.

Aggressive follow up – Visit or phone within a couple of weeks of initial contact.

Establish and maintain Dealer relationships – Initiate phone contact and visits to check in and confirm stable relationships. Participate in entertainment events for dealers in appreciation of their business.

Troubleshoot and act as a liaison between Auto Loan Dept. Staff and Dealer. Be available to offer direction to new dealers. Resolve conflicts that may occur.

Research and stay up to date with competitor’s programs/promotions/rates.

Administrative

Provide administrative support to staff with daily operations - Application processing, Underwriting, Loan set up & processing, Dealer funding and Loan packaging.

Aid in the development and implementation of policies/procedures striving towards a uniform, well managed internal system.

Responsible for upkeep of existing EOM reports and completion of EOY reports.

Preparation of year end Planning Presentation – reports, charts, graphs.

Partner with manager to maintain files and logs for repossessed vehicles.

  • Demonstrated ability to sell and possess a successful sales record.
  • Well-organized, conscientious and detail oriented.
  • Computer skills – at least intermediate skill level of MS Word, MS Excel & MS Access.
  • Previous experience in the automotive industry preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a busy, hectic environment. Multi-tasking skills.
  • Neat, well groomed, professional appearance.
  • Proven ability to mediate and resolve conflict situations. Excellent interpersonal skills – a bridge builder. Innovative problem solver.
  • Be able to work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Goal oriented person who takes initiative & responsibility for completing a quality job.
Reliable transportation – the position requires driving to visit dealers.
